Wow! Rooftop Studios raises over £1,500 for Pudsey!
Students from Rooftop Studios are celebrating raising a bumper £1,500 for Children in Need following a week packed with fundraising fun at its Stone and Leek studios. From performing in PJs to raffles, cake sales, visits from Pudsey and taking part in The Performers’ Project’s annual Tapathon challenge, both studios have been a hive of activity.

This year’s Tapathon – which sees tap dancers across the country co-ordinate in an attempt to set a new Guiness World Record – took place on Sunday 19th November. It saw tappers aged from 5 to 81 years who train at the studio will join forces with a goal or raising as much money as possible for Children in Need while they aim to break the national record. Even Pudsey joined in the fun, as director Laura Keeling explains:
“Children in Need is one of the highlights of our year – it gets the kids and adults working together to raise funds for a great cause, and the fact that it culminates in the Tapathon always generates a lot of great energy – especially then Pudsey bear joins in with the routine! Our tappers did brilliantly and we are blown away by the sum raised across the two studios. It’s great to think we’re doing our bit to support the amazing projects Children In Need helps to fund.”
