Stone performing arts school Rooftop Studios made history last week, as the first external group to hire the town’s new Crown Wharf Theatre. On Sunday 24th November over 50 students aged between 9 & 17 from both the Stone and Leek studios performed a festive medley in the ‘Christmas Cabaret’. Tap dancers from Rooftop Studios once again took part in the annual Tapathon challenge this month, raising funds for Children in Need along the way. Rooftop dancers ranging in age from tots to adults joined tappers from schools across the country to perform a coordinated routine in an attempt to set a new Guiness World Record, with this year’s event taking place on Sunday 17th November.
